A Flush head self-clinching stud is a type of fastener designed to sit completely flat against the surface, creating a smooth, seamless finish with no visible protrusions. Ideal for thin sheet metal and space-limited applications, these studs provide strong, load-bearing threads while maintaining a clean appearance.
It installs by placing the stud in a properly sized hole and pressing it into place using standard equipment. The squeezing action embeds the head into the sheet, causing the surrounding metal to flow into the annular groove, locking the stud securely with high torque-out and pushout resistance.
Type FHS Flush Head Studs are made from 300 series Stainless Steel and are designed for installation in steel or aluminium sheets of HRB 70 / HB125 or less. They are not recommended for stainless steel applications.
