TPS self-clinching pilot pins are precision alignment fasteners designed for positioning, pivoting, and alignment in sheet metal applications. These small, cylindrical metal pins feature a chamfered end, making it easier to locate mating holes for accurate assembly.
Installed by pressing into a pre-drilled hole, the squeezing action embeds the head into the sheet metal, causing the surrounding material to flow into the annular groove. This creates a flush-mounted, secure fit with high torque-out and pushout resistance, ensuring stability in electronics, automotive, and industrial applications.
Type TPS Flush-Head Pilot Pins are made from 300 series Stainless Steel and are designed for installation in steel or aluminium sheets of HRB 70 / HB125 or less. They are not recommended for stainless steel applications.
